We invite you to tour The Kansas City Star! This site provides all of the tools that you need to sign up for a visit with us.
Our Tours:
Press Pavilion (one-hour long)
The Star now boasts one of the most modern newspaper plants in the world. The new Press Pavilion, located just northeast of the main Star building, is two city blocks long with more than 420,000 square feet within four different levels. The eight-story building houses four 68-foot-tall, ultra-modern Commander presses. We cannot guarantee you will see the presses running. The press operation is highly automated...and just plain fun to see! (For safety reasons, tour-goers must be at least 8 years of age.)

To sign up for a tour, click on one of the links above. You will be asked to provide us with information about your tour group, group's size and the age of your youngest member. We will then show you the tour dates available to your group. Teachers' guides will also be available.
Please note: There is considerable walking involved in both tours. Tour-goers must also be able to climb stairs. Elevator access is available in special cases.
